Honda has lost me as a fan

Honda has always been an upstanding and notably a dependable Automobile Company. Having had Honda vehicles in the past , chances are there would me more Honda vehicles in the future.

Honda has lost that with me now. Who would have ever thought that an upstanding company like Honda would hide such a demon ??  Who would have thought that they would have a known problem to them, but not share it with the loyal people that helped make them who and what they are today?

Recently I had my air conditioning checked by my local mechanic. Went through the whole process of clearing moisture and air out of the system and then re-charging it. Only to find out that it was still blowing hot air ??  A call to the local dealer (Honda) and finding out that our CR-V had experienced “Black Death” . Honda has known about this for at least a decade. The fact that they have never shared this with the public? Never had a recall ?

I have opened up this web site so that other owners of Honda CR-V generation 1 and generation 2 . Whom may have had the same problem will have a place to share their out come.

For those whom have yet to experience “Black Death” it is only around $ 4,000.00 for the dealer to fix once it has happened. The dealer might work with you if your vehicle is out of warranty. In my case the dealer worked with Honda to help me.. Honda is eating the price of the parts, my share is still $1,000.00 .  I have to wonder how much the actual price is that Honda is eating ?
